The Winter Solstice

Saturday, December 21 marks the winter solstice in the northern hemisphere at 4:19am EST. It is the shortest day of the year for daylight and, of course, the longest for darkness. The southern hemisphere will experience the summer solstice at the same time.

The celebration of the winter solstice marks the beginning of winter, and the return to more daylight.

This is a time for reflection. Use this time to find your way through any confusion or uncertainty that you may have been experiencing.

Think about 2025: what you want and why it’s important to you. The more you have a clear sense of “why” the more you will commit to what you want.

Next week we celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanza. I wish you wonderful holiday celebrations and hope that you’ll take time to rest and reboot. It’s been a crazy year, and a little calm will go a long way.

I wish you a happy winter solstice and hope that you feel lighter as the days get brighter!
