Leaders Step Up
I attended an alumni volunteer leadership retreat this weekend at the University of Pennsylvania, and was struck by the enthusiasm and commitment that permeated the room.
It was such a pleasure to be surrounded by positive people, great conversation, and aspirations to extend the Penn experience to alumni around the world.
Why can’t this be replicated in the workplace right now? All a leader needs is an idea whose common purpose can unite its constituents. That thread of a good idea can rally people together, and get their energy focused towards a positive end result.
It doesn’t need to be a “big” idea. It only needs to be one that motivates people to come together and create a positive result.
What ideas are you thinking about?
